It’s no secret that the variety of adult entertainment is a popular reason why many people choose Costa Rica as a vacation destination. You’ll find strip clubs in the cities and while prostitution is illegal in many other countries, it is a legal industry in Costa Rica. The majority of the nation’s tens of thousands of working girls operate independently and well within the law. Eighteen is the legal age for prostitutes, who are required to have special ID cards that ‘prove’ they are disease free. Of course, nothing of this sort can be guaranteed, so it is wise to use protection and be sure of their age, since there are strict penalties for engaging an underage prostitute. However once such cautions are accounted for, many people find the freedom here to enjoy a variety of pleasures they feel otherwise restricted from at home.

Serious bird watchers do not consider their career complete without a visit to Costa Rica. Whose resume would be complete without spotting the numerous types of bejeweled toucans, sighting more than 50 species of hummingbirds, or glimpsing the elusive resplendent quetzal, with it’s three-foot green tail feathers, considered by many Central American indigenous traditions to be a sacred bird. Although “birding” is good year-round here, many birders especially enjoy surveying the migratory flocks in spring and fall. If watching wings flutter across the sky is your aim, Bargain Costa Rica Tours can help point your binoculars in the right direction.
